Where Priority Lies – Greater Coucal by S Jayaraj

In this compelling mixed-media composition, S Jayaraj captures the imposing presence and rich, contrasting tones of the Greater Coucal. The artwork carries a sharp conceptual edge through the visible newspaper header along the left margin reading 'WHERE PRIORITY LIES.' By embedding textual commentary directly into the natural environment of this elusive species, Jayaraj challenges the viewer to contemplate human priorities and environmental stewardship.
