For a Place in the Sun – Brown Thrasher by S Jayaraj

In this subtle and textured artwork, S. Jayaraj captures the keen, alert stance of a Brown Thrasher. The piece carries striking ecological commentary through the newspaper tear at the lower left reading 'For a place in the sun' alongside the red subheader 'Not enough land.' By blending delicate anatomical detail with bold text overlay and gestural paint marks, Jayaraj crafts a powerful narrative about wildlife striving to secure its rightful place in a rapidly shrinking natural world.
