Warnings for the Next Quarter-Century – Oriental Magpie-Robin by S Jayaraj

In this dynamic mixed-media portrait, S Jayaraj captures the sprightly posture of an Oriental Magpie-Robin perched aloft dark, crisscrossing branches. The conceptual core of the artwork is anchored by a prominent torn clipping on the lower left that ominously reads: 'NEXT 25 YEARS will see great challenges because of environmental degradation and lack of interest in agriculture among youth.' Layered alongside a modern QR code and dense newspaper text, Jayaraj contrasts digital-age urgency with the timeless song of a garden favorite.
