Bounty of the Forest – American Robin by S Jayaraj

The American Robin (Turdus migratorius) is a migratory songbird widespread across North America. Instantly recognizable by its reddish-orange breast, it frequents lawns and gardens, hunting earthworms, foraging for berries, and singing a cheerful, melodic morning song. In this lively pure-watercolor portrait, S Jayaraj captures an American Robin perched triumphantly on a slender, branching twig with its fresh catch held firmly in its bright yellow bill. By capturing a fleeting, intimate moment of wild foraging, Jayaraj celebrates the simple, timeless rhythms of nature with pure painterly delight.
