Azure Spark – Blue Tit by S Jayaraj

The Eurasian Blue Tit (Cyanistes caeruleus) is a small, energetic songbird common across European woodlands, parks, and gardens. Instantly recognizable by its blue and yellow plumage, it acrobatically searches tree canopies for caterpillars, insects, seeds, and nuts. In this delightful watercolor study, S Jayaraj captures the sprightly energy and vivid palette of the Eurasian Blue Tit. Perched lightly on a textured, rising branch, the small bird becomes a brilliant focal point against a loose, atmospheric wash of serene sky-blue. Through this vibrant composition, Jayaraj beautifully translates the agile, fleeting presence of this beloved garden bird into a lasting moment of joy.
