About The Event
First Impressions is a group exhibition presented by Art Cube Gallery, bringing together eighteen artists whose practices span painting, drawing, and mixed media. The show marks a significant convergence of established voices and emerging talent rooted in Chennai's contemporary art community.
The title speaks to something precise: the moment a work arrests attention before language intervenes. Each artist in this exhibition navigates that threshold differently, through colour, form, texture, and personal iconography, producing a collective statement that is both intimate and expansive.
